How to use & apply AFC Quick Polish Liquid Beeswax

How to use liquid beeswax furniture polish

We often get asked what is the easiest way to polish timber furniture and what is the best polish to use?

In today’s post I will give you an overview to what I believe is one of the best beeswax furniture polishes on the market today.

Liquid Beeswax Furniture Polish (

That product is Aussie Furniture Care Quick Polish. Liquid beeswax in a bottle.

I’ll explain how to use it and how to apply it, as well as an overview of the ingredients and uses for the polish.

Firstly what are the ingredients?

  1. Pure Australian disease free beeswax. (Did you know that Australia is one of the only countries in the world with disease free bees?)
  2. A non toxic solvent that keeps the wax soft and liquified eliminating the need for harsh petro-chemical ingredients like gum turps and silicones which are used in traditional style beeswax polishes and not conducive to good health.
The result is a beeswax wax polish that is easy to apply and a polish that easily buffs off leaving your timber furniture with a smooth, smear free surface and a lasting shine.
  3. Eucalyptus oil. This is added to give the beeswax polish a pleasant clean and fresh scent that is not detrimental to your health.

Recommended uses:

The polish is extremely versatile and is safe to be used on modern and antique timber and veneer furniture. It’s also suitable to use on finishes like polyurethane, shellac, hand painted furniture and french polish.

AFC Quick Polish has the added bonus of being a cleaner as well as a polish and is excellent for removing old built up wax and grime that appears around door handles, chair backs, wooden lounge arms, old furniture and hand rails.

How to use

  1. To polish, apply some Quick Polish to the surface using a soft lint free cloth moving in a circular motion along the length of the grain.
  2. Allow to dry for about 5 to 10 minutes depending on weather conditions. (The wax will dry much quicker in warm weather)
  3. Using a second clean lint free soft cloth remove the excess wax then turning the cloth to buff to a clean smear free shine

How often should you wax your furniture?

I recommend using AFC Quick Polish for day to day polishing or when you furniture is looking a bit tired and needing a lift.
